ExOil manage and contract the collection of used lubrication oil (ULO) to be re-used as an alternate fuel source to diesel, gas and light fuel oil (LFO).
We have a dedicated fleet of purpose built small tank wagon vehicles responsible for the collection of waste/used lubrication oil. These collection trucks are built in accordance with the requirements of the HSNO Tank Wagon Code of Practice and are equipped with everything required to make the collection of the ULO as seamless as possible, therefore minimising disruption to our customers and providing a professional, safe, and efficient service.
The collected oil is stored at our tank farm in Palmerston North where it is processed to remove heavy solids, light solids, water and volatile lights” with the final stage filtering through 100 micron bag strainers. The processed product meets the specification requirements in the “Guidelines for the Management and Handling of Used Oil” published by the Ministry for the Environment 2000.
The processed ULO is then supplied as an industrial energy source to primary industries in New Zealand; such as timber processing, asphalt and bitumen production, lime drying. All users of the processed product are consented to use the ULO as an alternate fuel source
